Is the resurrection of Jesus Christ fact or fiction? Have you ever thought that the idea of a man rising from the dead is hard to believe?
Resurrection (Fact or Fiction) is purposely small and not meant to be exhaustive. There are many large resources for those who are serious about their search. This is meant as a non-intimidating handout that can be scanned in minutes. It exists to help the intellectually honest person rightfully question why they believe what they believe. Dr. Walp briefly reviews seven common statements made by those who do not believe such an event is possible. Nothing in our scientific, historical, or rational grasp leads us to accept such a story, and it is foolish to believe...unless it's true.

At first I was offended. Dr. Walp seemed to be insulting my beliefs. Then I saw where he was going with his words. He is devout, as am I. I don't agree with everything he says, but I do agree on the heart of the matter.Product details

Resurrection Fact or Fiction edition by AG Walp Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
This book is an easy and quick read, but by no means does that say once you are done reading it'll be out of your head. This book really made me think, and I know that any time I think about the Resurrection in the future, I will be asking myself some of the things discussed in this book. A great find!!!
Dr. Walp has done his research. He presents the case in a knowledgeable, articulate yet common sense manner. Excellent book!
I read it with an open mind and no expectations.
It was wonderful.
A great book lt gets to the point real quick. Makes you look at your spiritual make up and where it's heading. Great.
The author is a a former police detective and a present theologian specializing in Christian apologetics (defense of a belief system) -- that combination makes for a good take on the controversial resurrection of Jesus Christ. He dissects the pros and cons, and then lays out a strong argument. Neat.
Dr. Walp doesn't take the Christian beliefs for granted and offer pat answers to objections. If you have trouble believing that someone came back to life after being dead, he says that's good. You have an open mind to investigate the evidence and come to a logical conclusion. "...No logical thinking individual with any common sense, reason, or rational mind should believe such a story...unless it is true." How do we do that? Investigate the evidence for and against. "The best we can do, humanly and scientifically speaking, is believe something is more likely true than not true and act based on all available facts." We don't rely on "blind faith."
After all his years or research, Dr. Walp concludes "Christian faith is logical, rational, and based upon solid historical data, and the information is available to all regardless of age, education, or financial status." "Believing the seemingly impossible is possible...if it is true." This short book offers much to think about, and some will be convinced by it. Others might have to go to "bigger" books that lay out the evidence in much more detail. But this book can be a good beginning.
I think the content of the book could be improved by giving both internal and external evidences of Christ's Resurrection. It would have been more valuable to state the various theories and deal with each in detail. Nevertheless, the book is helpful for layman's know how and to prompt one for further investigations. The book is not meant for scholarly reading. References for further reading would be helpful. I wished that Wall would have written an introduction of the book
There really isn't a lot here. I read it in less than an hour. So if you read it don't expect hard hitting evidence, rather it is an prolonged essay designed to get you to ask the question "Is the resurrection true?"
At first I was offended. Dr. Walp seemed to be insulting my beliefs. Then I saw where he was going with his words. He is devout, as am I. I don't agree with everything he says, but I do agree on the heart of the matter.
